  Meet Our Staff

 

The Staff of Heart to Heart Adoption is comprised of a group of professionals working collaboratively to assist birth mothers in the United States and abroad as well as propspective adoptive parents.  As dedicated professionals, we work together to make the adoption experience, for all, as easy as possible.

 

 Linda Wynn, M.S.     

Linda is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Heart to Heart Adoption. She's earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from Lehman College in New York and devoted her life to teaching children of all ages for more than 18 years. Linda's calling led her to do more with her life for children. It has been her mission to assist birth mothers, children and adoptive families. Linda has been the Executive Director of Heart to Heart Adoption since February, 2002 and has been working in the adoption field ever since.  Linda and her husband, David, are the parents of two adopted children from Guatemala.

The agency is a member of JCICS, BBB, the Florida Adoption Council and is Hague accredited by the Council on Accreditation.  

   

David Wynn, B.A.

David, Linda's husband, is the Associate Director and Co-founder of Heart to Heart Adoption.  He  has spent a lifetime devoted to assisting children. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Sociology from Toledo University in Ohio. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his professional achievements. Over the years, he served as Director of Program for the Atlanta Boys Club and seven years as Executive Director of the Shadyside Boys Club in Pittsburgh. He was on the National Staff of Boys Clubs of America for twenty-seven years. Under his direction, numerous programs were successfully launched; many of which are still being used in clubs today. He was a caseworker for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Lucie County in Florida and a founding Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County, Florida as well. After adopting their first daughter from Guatemala, David became a Co-founder of Heart to Heart Adoption, with his wife Linda.   He has been the Associate Director since February, 2002.

                                                

                                                                            

 

 

 Alice Kelley, B.A.

Alice works as a Case Manager/social worker on our domestic and international adoptions as well as preparing home studies for our adoptive families.  She has more than 25 years experience working with children and families in the private sector as a program director for a private adoption agency and also in emergency shelters for abused and neglected children. She was a Program Director for a national company that provides group homes and residential facilities for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. Alice received her A.A. degree in Psychology from Western Oklahoma State College while serving in the United States Air Force. After her four-year enlistment, she completed her undergraduate work at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Alice was born in Bardstown, Kentucky. When she was two, she and her family moved to Florida where she has remained. Alice grew up in Fort Lauderdale, the youngest of four children. Her late father, a minister, and her mother, who was raised in an orphanage, instilled in Alice, her brothers and sister the importance of family and community. With these values, Alice has been an active volunteer, and has spent all of her professional career working with children and families. She is a strong advocate for the families and birth mothers H2H serves.

                                                                

Margot Logan, LCSW

Margot has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years and has worked in the adoption field for over 10. She began her career at Adoption-Link of Illinois, prior to moving to Florida. She and her husband, Carl, have 6 children, 4 of whom are adopted from Illinois foster care as Special Needs adoptions. Margot has a BA in Sociology from the University of Chicago and an MSW from Loyola University of Chicago. She is currently a volunteer with the HOPE Foundation and a member of the local One Church-One Child advisory board. Margot and her husband were "Adoptive Parents of the Year" for the Little City Foundation while living in Illinois, and were featured in a Chicago Tribune article about special-needs adoptive families.   Margot co-facilitates a monthly adoptive parent support group with Selena Norman, the post-adoption specialist at Family Services of Metro Orlando. She also does private mental health counseling, including post-adoption counseling. As an adoptive mother herself, Margot truly believes that every child deserves a good home and has a special interest in making sure that adoptive placements succeed.

 

 

Cyndi Peck

Cyndi Peck is our Haiti Program Coordinator.  She is the proud mother of 9 children; 4 of them adopted internationally and the others are biological.  She has been helping families adopt children for 12 years and has worked with Haiti adoptions since 2003.  Cyndi offers you her experienced personalized service.  She will help you gather and prepare your dossier, adoption paperwork, and work with you until you have your child in your home. 

 

Stephen Lewin, Esq.

Stephen has compassionately represented prospective adoptive parents and birth parents for more than 20 years.  Stephen is a founding member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys.  He has been a member of the faculty that teaches at the Adoption Law Program held by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Practicing Law Institute as part of their Continuing Legal Education Programs for attorneys.  Stephen is a member of New York State Bar Association's Adoption and Family Law Sections.  He was appointed to a committee established by the Surrogate, New York County, to consult on adoption and foster care issues.  He has also been appointed to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in local courts in adoption and child custody proceedings.  He was reviewer of Adoption Law in New York and regularly speaks before local adoption groups and organizations.

 Pam Hall, New York Office Consultant

Pam has worked in the administrative field for 25 years; 14 of these were related to adoption. She was the assistant to an experienced New York social worker for 12 years and is the New York Office Consultant. Pam's friendly, sincere and open personality makes a valuable contribution to the work of the agency. Pam is the adoptive parent of two girls born in the United States.

                                                                                                            

 

Judy Schwartz, LCSW

 Judy is a New York State Licensed Adoption Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in both domestic and international adoptions. She holds a Master's Degree from Fordham University in New York. She has also accomplished additional certification in Children and Families. She is an active member of NASW and NOFSW. Judy is the Board Chair of a local theater group in New York and is also a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church's Board where she helped develop and implement the "Safe Sanctuary Program" ensuring the safety and well being of all children who participate in Church related activities. Judy is the adopted mother of 4 children; 2 adopted from the United States and 2 from Russia.

                                          

 

Leslie Zindulka, LCSW-R

Leslie is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of experience in the adoption field. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Welfare from SUNY Stony Brook and her Masters of Social Work degree from Columbia University. She also holds a school social worker specialty credential. Leslie is an active volunteer with an Adoptive Parents group where she is a regular guest speaker. She has volunteered her services to families participating in a Russian-orphan summer camp program and writes a monthly column for an adoption website. Leslie and her husband are the proud parents of three children; two of whom were adopted in the United States.
